Yass Junior Roos
Code of Conduct, Rules, etc

The Yass Junior Roos are about fun and participation, especially in our younger age groups. Competition increases with the age categories but we still emphasise strong sportsmanship and fair play in all our activities.

The Club Rules for our under age teams, to come into effect from 2004.

  1. Have fun!
  2. Mouthguards are required for all players.
  3. The minimum age for players is 6 years (you must be 6 years old at 1st January of the year you play).

The club follows and endorses the AFL Canberra Codes of Conduct for players, coaches, administrators and parents.

We are also implementing policies to comply with the requirements of the NSW Dept of Sport and Recreation Child Protection Guidelines. All coaches, officials and committee members will need to sign a Prohibited Employment Declaration and work within the club's child protection policies and procedures.
