Registration Day 19 Febraury 2011 10am Joe O'Connor Park

Next Saturday the 19th the Yass Junior Roos are having their registration day for both Auskick and the 2011 football season at Joe O’Connor Park near the change rooms.

For those of you  who are unfamiliar with the idea of Auskick, it gives children from the ages from 5-8 the introduction to the great team sport of Aussie Rules. It is for your child to “have a go”at a sport that really encourages team work and hand eye co-ordination. They will have the opportunity to learn new ball skills, to run around with their old friends and hopefully make some new friends too.  We would like to invite all those Auskickers from 2010 to join up and encourage a friend to come along too.  The Auskick sessions will run from Saturday 26th Feb to 2nd April.

Auskick is not just for boys, it is for girls too so come and join in. Part of the fabulous deal is that everyone who registers and turns up for Auskick will receive an Auskick bag that is full of goodies! We are pretty certain that it won’t be full of lollies or chocolate but it will be full of things that you can use when you play the game. And girls, you get a girls bag, in a colour that a girl would like.

The bag that the Auskickers receive is included in their registration fee, it is great value for the coaching and new skills they will learn.

The footy season is fast approaching and we want all those juniors out there who want to play a fantastic, fast and furious game to come and join us for 2011. Registration is next Saturday at Joe O’Connor between 10-00am and 12-00. Come along, bring your friends to join us to in what promises to be a great season.

The cost of registration is $60 for AFL. If more than one child from a family plays for the Junior Roos, we offer a discount for a family.

For those who wish to register for Auskick, the cost is $60. Should your child have such a good time that he or she wants to get involved in playing AFL in a junior side, they join the club for a small fee.
