Roo Light Disco Friday 2 July 2010
Postponed until end of term 3.
Five dollars entry is all it costs: The Lights and sounds will be provided by DJ Ando and his Weddings, Parties, Everything Disco.
Hot Seat Trivia 26 June 2010
At the Aussie after the clash between Cootamundra and Yass there will be a casual Trivia challenge, among other events. This is intended as a bit of light entertainment for the whole family, not a full on trivia onsalught. The emphasis is on fun and trying to provide a bit of activity at the after game festivities.
Come along, enjoy a bevvy, get involved. Minimal cost involved so it won't break the bank and some small prizes on offer to make it competitive.
Annual Player Lottery and Season Kick-off
Fri 9 April 2010 7:00pm Aussie Hotel
The player lottery is back again this year as our season kick-off event. Two hundred and fifty bucks will get you a player in the lottery with the chance to win it all back if your player is voted Player's Player during the year.
The way it works:
- You buy a ticket (total tickets limited to the number of players available at season start).
- A lottery determines which player you "own".
- 30% of the pool goes to the club, the other 70% forms the prize pool divided by the number of rounds to give the weekly prize.
- If your player is voted Player's Player you win the weekly prize.
Not only are you helping the club financially but you get a chance to get the money back and more. It also adds a lot of interest for the weekly game day awards. So get your dollars together or form a syndicate and join in the fun. The lottery is open to individuals, syndicates or businesses.
Yassooma Cup CANCELLED
Sat 27 March 2010 Narooma
Unfortunately the match has had to be cancelled. Not enough players were available to make the trek.
The Yassooma Cup is up for grabs again after a long absence. The team will head to the coast to take on friendly rivals the Narooma Lions in a pre-season match and social gathering. A bus will be organised and an overnight stay and Sunday morning training run on the beach (yeah right Ando!). It's been a while since we ventured to the beautiful Narooma coast (they might let us back in now!). This should be a ripper weekend. Book your spot early. Details as they come to hand.
Roos AGM 13 Dec 2009 6pm Aussie Hotel
All interested people should be there. 2010 starts here. Things need to be organised and the more helpers the easier it will be. See you there!
